Pragmatists by Witkacy

This staged reading of an in-progress piece used virtual reality to reimagine Pragmatists, a 1919 play by Stanisław Witkiewicz. Pragmatists is a phantasmagorical chamber drama that Witkiewicz wrote in response to William James′ philosophy of pragmatism. This new rendering explored the integration of VR technology into live performance by asking what would happen if Witkiewicz′s tormented hero, the artist Plasfodor, were brought back as a VR experience.
