Rumstick Road

1976–1980

Rumstick Road takes the form of a scientific demonstration exploring the suicide of Spalding Gray’s mother by weaving together dance, slides, and audio recordings of Gray’s father, grandmothers, and his mother’s psychiatrist.

in collaboration with Libby Howes, Bruce Porter, Ron Vawter

Rumstick Road was the second part of the trilogy Three Places in Rhode Island which included Sakonnet Point (1975) and Nayatt School (1978)
