Viktorija Mickute

Viktorija Mickute is a NY-based director, writer and producer. Since 2017, she has been creating immersive and interactive documentary projects at AJ Contrast, Al Jazeera Digital’s media innovation studio. Viktorija’s work has been showcased in multiple film festivals, including Sundance and Sheffield Doc Fest, and has garnered three Emmy nominations among other multiple journalism and digital media awards. Born and raised in Lithuania, Viktorija was awarded with a Fulbright scholarship and earned a master’s degree in journalism at the University of Missouri. In 2016, she performed as part of the Vilnius-based theater group Dramateurs, which comprised both professional and amateur actors.
